While we wait...

As I'm sitting here looking over a few things and encouraging myself through God's words, a very popular song popped in my head…."While I'm Waiting"

I'm waiting, I'm waiting on You Lord
And I am hopeful, I'm waiting on You Lord
Though it is painful, but patiently I will wait
And I will move ahead bold and confident
Taking every step in obedience
While I'm waiting I will serve You
While I'm waiting I will worship
While I'm waiting I will not faint
I'll be running the race even while I wait
I'm waiting, I'm waiting on You Lord
And I am peaceful, I'm waiting on You Lord
Though it's not easy no, but faithfully I will wait
Yes, I will wait

So as we continue to try to do life while we wait to be approved (or officially match) we press into the Lord. I'm not going to lie, I struggle with this part while for Tyvon it comes much easier. Just about every morning (and night…LOL) and cry out to the Lord…."I lay down my need to control and leave it at your feet. Help me Lord to not think about timelines and how it all will work out. I TRUST you God.

So what are we doing…exactly what the song says..still serving wholeheartedly in our positions at church, spending time with the kids, working on getting the house ready for JE to come and also to put it on the market and loving on family and friends. About that preparing to put the house on the market….lots of paint, disorganization, dust, organization and so on….LOL!! Another thing keep us busy is FUNDRAISING…we are doing a lot of that and I'm happy to announce that we are a little under $6k from being fully funded. Also trying to help others fundraise and encourage other families in this beautiful but messy adoption process.

Been thinking about JE a lot……wonder how he is doing…wonder does he think about his fun times from this summer with his awesome host family. Hope he's praying that God sends him a family to love him forever and that he feels a peace that God is doing it…...

God never to said it would be easy only worth it! He told us clearly that He would finish everything He has us to start! God I look to you…you're where my help comes from...
