365 Days.........……GOD's journey

A year ago today, in Ghana, Africa, we met EJ, the little boy that we said YES to bringing into our forever family! Tyvon and I had so many emotions running through our body!

Things that were going on in our mind....

• "We are really doing this"
• "Can you believe we are meeting our son"
• "Tyvon, we are going to Ghana...we are finally making it to the contentient of Africa"
• "What will he think of us"
• "Will he even want us to be his parents? We chose him but would he chose us?"

We landed in Ghana on the 1st of March but we had to spend the night over in Accra and get up the next morning and ride about 2 to 3 hours to meet our son. I don't think I slept more than a total of 2 hours that night.

We said our see you laters after a few days. And then amongst the storms stirring and the oceans raging, God did what only He could do...miracles after MIRACLES!! Less than a month after we left him, we passed court and he was officially our son on March 28th! From this day forward we declared that Emmanuel would be home before the start of the new school year. Many people laughed at us expecting that. We also we reminded that this wouldn't be a small defeat with every going on in Ghana with adoptions. The bigger miracle was 5 months after meeting him, we boarded a plane not knowing how it would end and headed back to Ghana. Within 5 days JESUS came through for us and we were back on the plane with our precious son Emmanuel Joshua!!! ONLY GOD. That's right EJ came home before the start of the new school year.....God was showing His power while blasting us in the Spirit realm. He showed us how to trust Him without borders.

Exactly 1 year later….what a feeling to be able to take as many pictures with our boy making precious memories with him!! GOD you never cease to AMAZE us!!

Never a dull moment in the PRAISE family house…someone is always doing something to keep the laughter and JOY alive!!

It's hard to believe that these 4 have only been together for 6 months!!

We give God all the GLORY in this adoption journey!! Every obstacle was slayed by the GIANT slayer!! Many say that our timeline was amazing...that's one word for it, others words are INCREDIBLE, ONLY GOD, FAITH STRETCHING, EXTRAORDINARY, GOD ORDAINED, JESUS.....that's how we often describe it in the Praise Family home!! Every opportunity we have,  we give God the GLORY for the miracles HE performed on behalf of the our family. The best part about it is, as He blesses us, it is not for us to keep....in all things we GIVE back for His KINGDOM sake!!

We love talking about adoption and the heartbeat of the FATHER and would love to share are passion for orphans. I can never say it enough that adoption is REDEMPTION and not just for the child but for the family that is blessed to bring them into their home!!
